Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. donated a model year 2001 Discovery Class A motorhome so a San Francisco police officer could make a patriotic journey to the former World Trade Center site in Manhattan.

San Francisco Policeman Tom Price left from the Sonoma County Fairgrounds on Saturday (Nov. 17) and his goal is to arrive in New York City on Thanksgiving Day.

The motorhome will be filled with letters and gifts for the families of the victims which will be picked-up at fire stations along the way.

Shortly after the terrorist attacks, Price painted his 1990 Chevrolet Suburban like an American flag after learning that all of the stores in his area had sold out of their supplies of the flag. Price is using the motorhome to tow his Suburban cross-country.

Traveling with Price in the motorhome is his superior officer, Sergeant Eric Cranston, his wife Kris and her twin sister Shelly.
