Club Fleetwood, a membership organization for owners of Fleetwood towables and motorhomes launched in November of 2001, has merged with Avion Travelcade Club to form the Fleetwood Travelcade Club (FTC).
According to a press release, the new club will be a member-owned and run organization offering a broader range of activities and services. Club Fleetwood was operated by Fleetwood RV.
“Our Club Fleetwood members told us that they wanted to have more activities that enabled them to use their RVs,” said Chris Braun, executive vice president of Fleetwood RV. “Fleetwood Travelcade Club provides them with a chance to do this, while maintaining Fleetwood’s brand essence and adding the key infrastructure features of the Avion Travelcade Club.”
Fleetwood said FTC members can get involved in a variety of events such as local, regional and national RV rallies, along with organized road trips or caravans. Members, which inlclude owners of new or used Fleetwood units, can also keep up on the latest FTC news through the newsletter, which is issued nine times per year.
Sam Whitaker, a Fleetwood owner for over 15 years who has held several key positions within the Avion Travelcade Club, has been named as incoming president for FTC.
In January, Fleetwood rolled out the Fleetwood Vacation Club, the first national shared-ownership program for motorhomes supported by a national network of franchised dealerships.
The company said the goal of the fractional ownership club is to introduce new consumers to the RV lifestyle who may eventually buy Fleetwood motorhomes.
