The manufactured housing division of Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. announced rebates and special financing will be offered to victims of the recent Southern California wildfires.
Through Feb. 28, participating Fleetwood Homes retailers will provide housing assistance to people who lost their homes in the fires.
Riverside, Calif.-based Fleetwood also has teamed with national lenders to provide reduced rates and zero-down financing to customers in the affected areas.
“We (Fleetwood) have a heavy presence in California,” said Wes Chancey, vice president of sales, marketing, distribution and product design for Fleetwood’s Housing Group.
“With our corporate offices, a housing manufacturing center, two RV manufacturing plants and a fiberglass plant all located in Southern California, many Fleetwood employees were personally impacted by the fires, so we understand and we appreciate the opportunity to help put families in homes and return normalcy to their lives,” Chancey said.
Earlier, dealership company La Mesa RV and rental firm El Monte RV announced special programs to provide temporary shelter to Southern California residents whose homes were destroyed or damaged by the fires.
Several Southern Calfironia RV parks also agreed to make spaces available to the families using RVs as temporary housing.
