Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. is offering two different construction formats in the 2006 GearBox sport utility towable (SURV) lineup – the entry-level S-2, with wood and aluminum construction, and the mid-priced S-4 with laminated fiberglass sidewalls. Base retailing from $21,742, the 2006 GearBox also features Sportsman and Motorsports option packages with amenities aimed at two distinct markets – the outdoorsman and NASCAR fan. “The 2006 GearBox has evolved to be even more cross-functional,” said Chris Braun, Fleetwood executive vice president. The GearBox Motorsports Edition is equipped with interior and exterior work benches, shelves to store riding gear, a ramp-door extension and optional power winch, air compressor and fueling station. The GearBox Sportsman boasts a camouflage interior decor with heavy duty outerwear hangers, and an integrated fishing rod holder and game cleaning station. GearBox travel trailer and fifth-wheel floorplans are available in lengths of 18 to 39 feet that can sleep between four and eight people.
