Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. debuted a concept package – code named X2 – that couples a traditional motorhome to a toy hauling travel trailer with matching standard full body paint. “The neat part is that you can sleep 14 people when you combine the sleeping capacity of the toy hauler travel trailer and the motorhome,” said Chris Braun, Fleetwood executive vice president. Actually, the X2 is the combination of a 36-foot Fleetwood Terra/Fiesta LX Class A motorhome and a 23-foot Fleetwood Nitrous Hyperlite towable SURV. And it may become something else before going into production next spring. “We wanted to get the input from the dealers at the show,” Braun reported during the 44th Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky. last week. “If they don’t think the package aspect of it will sell or if they like the look of the toy hauler interior in the traditional motorhome, we might just offer the X2 as a motorhome without the trailer.” MSRP as shown: $121,751.
