The Family Motor Coach Association has scheduled its next international convention for March in Pomona, Calif., and the association has scheduled its other major rallies through 2005.
The gathering in Pomona will take place March 21-23 at the Fairplex and its summer convention is scheduled for July 18-20 near Buffalo, N.Y.
In 2004, the FMCA conventions will take place March 16-18 in Albuquerque, N.M., and Aug. 17-19 in Redmond, Ore.
In 2005, the conventions are scheduled for March 22-24 in Perry, Ga., and Aug. 16-18 in Minot, N.D.
The FMCA’s most recent international convention was in Hutchinson, Kan., and the owners of 4,716 motorhomes attended.
The association’s best-attended international convention since 1969 occurred during August 2000, when the owners of 7,422 motorhomes gathered in Brunswick, Maine.
The gathering scheduled for near Buffalo in August will be the first for the FMCA in New York State since 1977, when it staged a convention near Syracuse.
Also, its convention in Albuquerque during the spring of 2004 will be a first for the FMCA, although the association did have a convention in Las Cruces, N.M., in 1998.
The FMCA also had an intentional convention in Minot as recently as 1995.
FMCA international conventions have come to serve as major consumer shows for highline motorhome enthusiasts, featuring displays of the latest models built by many major motorhome manufacturers and the newest products from components and accessories suppliers.
