Forest River Inc. has entered into an exclusive strategic alliance with National City Bank subsidiary National City Corp. to provide financing programs to its Premium Dealers and their customers.
“Through this alliance, we’re able to offer our top dealers and their customers some of the finest financing options, dealer support services and credit opportunities in the industry today,” said Pete Liegl, Forest River’s founder and president.
“National City has a dedicated expert team who can turn around credit decisions in one hour or less for the most efficient financing in our industry,” Liegl said.
Meanwhile, Greg Jelinek, executive vice president of dealer finance at National City, said, “We’re excited to work with one of the largest manufacturers as we continue our nationwide expansion. We believe that Forest River’s dealers and customers will benefit from our unique brand of financing and world class customer service.”
Cleveland-based National City has been involved in marine and RV financing in the Midwest for 50 years, but now it is offering its financial services to manufacturers and dealers across the U.S. It works with dealers to develop specialized floorplan and retail financing options for its national dealer network through its outside and inside sales forces, Dealer Sales Support Center and a core underwriting group dedicated solely to marine and RV dealers. Forest River of Goshen, Ind., is a manufacturer commercial vehicles, utility cargo trailers, buses, mobility vehicles, pontoon and fishing boats in addition to towable RVs and motorhomes.
Liegl anticipates that the closely-held Forest River will achieve $1 billion in total sales revenue this year.
