Four Winds International Corp. has made extensive use of birds-eye cherry wood interior trim in its new 24-foot Ventura Class B motorhome. The Elkhart, Ind., Thor subsidiary’s first van camper – built on the imported 8,550-pound GVWR Sprinter 2500 chassis – debuted at the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Show Sept. 8-14 in Hershey, Pa. “We’ve taken the motorhome aspects of the chassis and added an automotive feel to it,” said project manager Jim Brown. With leather seating in the cockpit and a rear sofa/dinette that converts to a king-size bed, Ventura features 6 1/2-foot ceilings, halogen lighting, automotive simulated leather walls and ceilings, solid surface countertops, curved cabinets, rear wrap-around privacy curtains and wetbaths with shower skylights. “Everyone sees the market moving to smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles,” Brown said. Two additional floorplans will be available by the National RV Trade Show Dec. 2-4 in Louisville, Ky. MSRP: $97,000.
