Chicago area-based FreedomRoads LLC., the nation’s largest recreational vehicle retailer network with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion, today announced the acquisition of Wheeler’s Las Vegas RV and a planned expansion that will double the size of the Nevada dealership.
According to a press release, the acquisition brings the number of FreedomRoads dealerships to 52 and further strengthens the company’s market presence in the western United States.
“This is a key market for us both in terms of growth potential, but it’s also located in a key geographic area allowing us to provide service to our customers nationwide,” said Craig Jensen, FreedomRoads co-founder and mountain region president.
Founded in 1982 by Andy and Marlene Wheeler, Wheeler’s Las Vegas RV is Nevada’s largest RV dealership, currently situated on 30 acres with state-of-the-art service facilities and a full-service body shop. The expansion, scheduled to be constructed over the next year, will focus on service, parts and body repair. The company also has plans to build a 10,000-square-foot free-standing Camping World accessories store on the premises.
“We are very excited about the affiliation with FreedomRoads and the ten-acre planned expansion of the facility,” said Wheeler’s Las Vegas RV General Manager Ben Beck.
Consistent with FreedomRoad’s branding strategy, Wheeler’s Las Vegas RV will retain the name that is familiar with RV consumers.
FreedomRoads is affiliated with Affinity Group Inc., parent to Camping World Inc., RV Business and RVBUSINESS.com.
