National RV dealership alliance Freedomroads LLC today (Aug. 17) announced the acquisition of Gary’s Sports and RV Center, Chichester, N.H., giving the retail network a foothold in the New England Market.
With the transaction, FreedomRoads, Lincolnshire, Ill., now has 48 dealerships in 20 states.
Gary’s Sports and RV Center was founded in 1986 and expanded in recent years to a second location in North Hampton, N.H. The Chichester site recently expanded into a new 42,000-square-foot facility with a large showroom, offices, parts store and service area.
“The acquisition of Gary’s is an important one for us in that it puts us in the middle of the very active New England market with a dealership that is well equipped to go to the next level,” said Marcus Lemonis, co-founder, president and CEO of FreedomRoads.
“They run an excellent operation and manage their bottom line carefully,” said Mark Meyer, northeast regional manager for the dealer alliance. “This has made the dealership successful and able to expand and improve their facilities.
“The new facility … reflects on their vision of where RV retailing is going, which is toward a higher quality of customer service,” added Meyer, who operates FreedomRoads’ Meyer’s RV Super Stores, a six-location dealership in western New York.
“Our new facility is part of our philosophy of constantly going to the next level,” said Gary’s founder Gary Depalma. “That’s why we decided to join FreedomRoads.”
