Chicago-based national dealer network FreedomRoads LLC, in partnership with RV accessories retailer Camping World Inc. (CWI), will be hosting the first-ever RVs.com-RV Expo May 25-28 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The event coincides with the running of the Indy 500 scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. According to FreedomRoads, the expo will cover three city blocks outside the Brickyard and offer a full array of accessories and RVs for sale, including Fleetwood motorhomes, Keystone fifth-wheels and travel trailers along with a new private label FreedomSpirit towable line produced by Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc. for FreedomRoads.
A free live concert is slated for May 27 from 2-4 p.m. featuring country music recording artists.
“The RVs.com-RV Expo is a great opportunity to bring the RV lifestyle to hundreds of thousands of race fans visiting the speedway during the Indy 500 weekend,” said Johnny Sirpilla, executive vice president of operations for FreedomRoads.
Mark Boggess, president of Bowling Green, Ky.-based Camping World, added, “We are literally going to have thousands of RV accessories and outdoor supplies for sale at the RVs.com-RV Expo Camping World Store for the RVer and outdoor enthusiasts. We’re excited to be part of this with FreedomRoads and RVs.com as well as our manufacturing partners.”
FreedomRoads said representatives from several suppliers, including Dometic, Winegard, Carefree, Weber, Bilstien, Coleman, Banks Power and Thetford will be assisting customers at the Camping World store.
In addition, the RVs.com-RV Expo will feature an “Outdoor Lifestyle Pavilion” presented by outdoor retailer Gander Mountain, which will house a Gander Mountain store as well as other RV organizations such as the Good Sam Club, Coast to Coast Resorts, and Interstate Battery.
The expo is an extension of the motorsports program established by FreedomRoads and affiliates Camping World and RVs.com in 2005, which includes NASCAR sponsorship of John Andretti’s No.10 car.
