Chicago-based FreedomRoads and RV retailer Camping World Inc. (CWI) will be sponsoring the Indianapolis Chief Mechanic Pole Winner Award for the 90th Indianapolis 500 race scheduled for May 28.
At the completion of four days of qualifying runs beginning May 13, representatives of FreedomRoads and Camping World will present a cash award of $10,000 to the chief mechanic of the fastest qualifier in Victory Lane located trackside at the historic 2 1/2 mile oval.
The award is an extension of a motorsports program established last year by
FreedomRoads and affiliate companies Camping World and RVs.com. The companies also are NASCAR sponsors with the primary sponsorship of John Andretti’s No. 10 Car.
“We’re very pleased to participate in an Indianapolis 500 award sponsorship,” said FreedomRoads Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis. “This particular sponsorship is near and dear to us since an important part of our business at our RV dealerships and Camping World stores is keeping our customers’ RVs in great mechanical condition.”
