FreedomRoads LLC, the nation’s largest RV retailer alliance with revenues of more than $1 billion, announced today (Sept. 11) it will launch a new network of FreedomExpress-brand, RV discount accessory shops that fit into dealers’ existing parts and accessories stores.
According to a press release, FreedomRoads will license the brand in specific markets, including with non-FreedomRoads dealers.
“The concept for FreedomExpress is that of a hybrid parts and accessory store that ranges from 2,000 to 5,000 square feet and carries only the industry’s fastest-moving SKU’s,” a FreedomRoads release states. “FreedomExpress stores will fit into existing parts and accessory departments without the need for construction – but with a modified look and feel – making integrating them efficient, rapid and inexpensive.”
The stores will focus on “grab-and-bag items” that are convenient and necessary for RVers on the go, the intent being to increase the level of convenience to consumers while maintaining a volume discount pricing model, according to the Lincolnshire, Ill.-based dealer alliance launched two years ago by Steve Adams, who also owns Affinity Group Inc., Ventura, Calif. AGI publishes RV Business and RVBUSINESS.com.
“This nationally branded express concept will be the first of its kind in the industry,” states FreedomRoads Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis. “Our dealerships are excited about the FreedomExpress opportunity because it offers one additional level of service to the local and traveling consumer, keeping our existing and future customers serviced and coming back to our locations. That’s always a central goal and this will help to accomplish that.
“Our goal is to create as much of a one-stop shopping experience as possible without compromising the local brand or its operating process.”
Customers nationwide also will be able to access these high-quality discount RV products through a nationwide 800 number ordering system as well as through a comprehensive website. Both of these methods will come with the option of next day delivery.
Here is a sampling of the 23 markets where FreedomExpress will open: Bartow, FL; Columbia, SC; Akron, OH; Chicago, IL; Syracuse, NY; Harrisburg, PA; Houghton Lake and Gaylord, MI; Kaysville, UT; Bakersfield, CA and Lakewood, NJ.
According to the company, a more comprehensive list of locations will be announced in coming weeks.
