Chicago-based FreedomRoads LLC, the nation’s largest RV retailer network with annual revenues of $1.4 billion, today (March 8) announced that it has acquired Bill Waits RV Super Center.
According to a press release, the Savannah, Ga.-based, full-line dealership generates annual revenues in excess of $24 million.
With the acquisition, the FreedomRoads network now operates 55 dealerships in 22 states and is planning further expansion in the Southeast with dealerships in Charleston, S.C., and Macon, Ga.
“We’re very excited to have Bill continue our growth in the Southeast and look forward to further expansion along the I-95 corridor,” said Marcus Lemonis, FreedomRoads chairman and CEO. “We also feel that the new Camping World there, which is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2006, will make that location more attractive to customers in that market and those passing through on this very busy thoroughfare.”
Martin Zonnenberg, FreedomRoads Atlantic Coast regional president, noted: “Bill Waits RV Super Center is an excellent addition to the FreedomRoads family. It is a well established business with a great reputation. Bill will assist me with our aggressive expansion plans in the Southeast, and he is the right person to help drive the effort.”
