FreedomRoads LLC announced Monday (Oct. 24) a management realignment designed to keep pace with the company’s growth, according to the Chicago-based national recreational vehicle dealership network.
“With these changes we are enhancing our management capabilities,” said Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis, noting the company in two years has grown to include 57 locations in 21 states with sales approaching $1.5 billion. “Each of the management changes was carefully considered and we are very confident that have the right people in the right place not only to handle the growth we’ve experienced, but to drive and handily manage our aggressive growth plans going forward.”
Key management changes include:
• The appointment of John Sirpilla to executive vice president of operations, overseeing several initiatives include F&I, fixed operations, e-commerce strategy, pre-owned vehicle market strategy, and the sports marketing program. He will continue is his role as mid-America regional president for the Midwest area of the country.
• Frank Crum and Steve Rowe were named as regional vice presidents of the southern and northern sections of the southeast region respectively. They will report to Al Binford who will remain president of the southeast region.
• Mark Calzone was promoted to northest regional vice president under regional president Mark Meyer.
• Peter Kinden was named as West Coast regional president and president of Stier’s RV Centers. Kinden’s area of responsibility will include developing the company’s California presence.
• Jim Ferris assumed the role of regional vice president of the southwest territory while remaining as southwest region president and president of Southwest RV.
The recent acquisition of Georgia’s Camping Time RV also signaled management changes including the appointment of Camping Time’s Martin Zonnenberg to regional president of the Atlantic Coast region, which consists of Shipp’s RV, Holiday Kamper and Camping Time RV.
He will be supported by Mark Derrick, who will become president of Camping Time and one of the Atlantic Coast regional vice presidents. Additionally, Josh Erickson has been named president of Holiday Kamper and will share regional vice president responsibilities with Derrick.
