Friend Communications has partnered with the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) to host and enhance the organization’s consumer website, GoCampingAmerica.com. Plans call for the revamped site to go live by late March.
According to a press release, Friend will manage ARVC-provided content and enhanced performance features on the site while ARVC will handle a graphic redesign, including updating the GoCampingAmerica logo.
“Friend brings the newest thinking and technology to the table,” said Linda Profaizer, president of ARVC. “That will make possible numerous new features and capabilities, like including photos of campground properties in the member listings, more comprehensive information about properties, easier navigation of the site and an enhanced search capability.”
Site enhancements will include:
• Visitors can recommend RV resorts and campgrounds they’d like to see listed, enabling ARVC to recruit new members.
• A new family reunion planning service in conjunction with individual member campgrounds.
• ARVC, state associations and members will be able to quickly change or update their website content through the member gateway portion of the site.
• Friend will assist with a new quarterly e-newsletter.
The site will continue to utilize Friend’s online, real-time reservation services, a capability added three years ago.
“We have enjoyed an excellent, growing relationship with ARVC during that time,” said Deb Kohls, vice president of business development at Friend. “Initially, we provided ARVC only online reservations services and management tools for individual campground members and state associations. Later, we helped ARVC provide more effective online brochures and marketing tools for campground owners. Now, we’re pleased to be part of the next major step in ARVC’s evolving, long-term member services portfolio.”
