The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) announced that one of its board members will run for the Florida House of Representatives in the 2006 elections.
According to a press release, Lyn Hart, who currently serves on the FRVTA Board of Directors from Region 5 (Pensacola), will run for the vacant District 3 seat in November 2006.
“Mr. Hart’s candidacy is the next step that the FRVTA is taking to ensure that a strong RV voice always exists in the Florida legislature defending the industry and advancing pro-RV policies in state government,” said Marc Dunbar, FRVTA’s legislative consultant. “Having an FRVTA member in the Florida House of Representatives would preserve our successes and help the industry grow without the fear of governmental intrusions and bureaucratic interventions.”
Hart has been an active FRVTA member for over 10 years, serving as president and director of Region 5, state treasurer, state vice president, state president and chairman of the board. He also has been a longtime member and chairman of the Government Affairs Committee and was instrumental in starting the Legislative Barbeque held annually in Tallahassee.
“As a 40 year resident of Pensacola and an active member of this community and the RV industry, it is the logical next step for me to serve a community which I love and help support an industry which has been so personally rewarding for me to be a part of,” Hart said.
Following a career in the financial sector, Hart is currently oversees public relations, marketing and promotions for multi-location dealer Emerald Coast RV Center in Gulf Breeze.
