The 25th Annual Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) State Convention, entitled “Road to Paradise, RV There Yet?,” is set for September 8-11 at the Hawk’s Cay Resort in the Florida Keys.
Motivational speaker Cam Marston is slated to kick off the formal meeting portion of the conference on Sept. 9. Also scheduled to address the gathering are Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association President Mike Molino, along with outgoing Recreation Vehicle Industry Association President Dave Humphreys and his designated successor Richard Coon.
They will present the “State of the Industry” update followed by presentations from Jim Carr, director of the Long Distance Satellite Training program, and FRVTA’s Legislative Consultant Marc Dunbar.
Informational break-out sessions will be held the third day of the conference. Participants can choose from a variety of topics including: sales tax and audits; reporting large cash transactions; the Patriot Act and FTC safeguards; and practical business protection under Florida laws.
Rounding out the agenda is the Silver Anniversary Awards Banquet that evening.
Last year’s convention was initially to be held in the Sanibel Island , which was canceled after Hurricane Charley swept through the area.
Due to damage to the facility, the convention was postponed about a month and moved to Clearwater Beach, only to be canceled after Hurricane Ivan swung through the Panhandle region.
