Region One of the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) will host its 24th annual free recreation vehicle show at the CenturyLink Lee County Sports Complex/ Twins-Miracle Stadium in south Fort Myers April 12-14.
The Fort Myers Florida Weekly reported that the three-day-event features six dealers from throughout Florida’s Gulf Coast displaying a wide selection of new, used and leftover recreation vehicles of all styles, brands and price ranges. Financing will be available for qualified buyers.
“This event is held just before the summer traveling season, so consumers can make their plans to experience our great nation,” said Everett Henkel III, president of Region One of the association. “Dealers also need to reduce inventories heading into summer, so prices for new and used RVs are lower as well.”
With the economy strong and retiring Baby Boomers interested in traveling, the RV industry is booming, according to the association. The American Automobile Association (AAA) recently reported that nearly 100 million Americans, or 40% of adults, will take a family vacation this year with a majority of travelers traveling by RV or car.
Lower fuel prices and high consumer confidence are driving travel and tourism, AAA research indicates. Many will visit national or state parks as well as theme parks.
