The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) is readying for its 36th Annual State Convention, set to run Sept. 8-10 at the Hawk’s Cay Resort on Duck Key. According to the FRVTA newsletter, the event mark the return to the site of the organization’s 25th Annual State Convention.
Themed “Escape to Paradise, Discover the Keys to Success,” the convention will feature a slate of speakers offering members up-to-date information on the state of the RV industry and what to expect in the coming months. Scheduled for Friday morning are Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) President Phil Ingrassia and Frank Hugelmeyer, president of the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).
Carrie Kerskie will also provide attendees with information on how to avoid business and personal identity theft and FRVTA Legislative Consultant Marc Dunbar joins political insider Marian Johnson from the Florida Chamber of Commerce for a unique perspective on both state and national politics.
Several activities will be available to members, including a dolphin encounter, a snorkeling trip to a local reef and a “Havana Nights” costume/dinner party.
Saturday morning the many educational breakout sessions, including Courtney Parish providing insights to social media marketing with Allen Monello updating members on dealer compliance. Tom Walworth of Statistical Surveys Inc. will also cover RV retail trends, while Erick Swenson of Morgan Stanley offers an overview of what to expect with the investment/financial world.
