Region One of the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) returns for its 22nd annual recreational vehicle show at the Lee County Sports Complex/Hammond Stadium in south Fort Myers April 21-23.
According to a press release, the event features eight dealers from throughout Florida’s Gulf Coast and a variety of RV suppliers providing information on where to camp as well as various other services to enhance campers’ outdoor adventures.
“This event is held just before the summer traveling season, so consumers can make their plans to experience our great nation,” said , Tom Wegge, president of FRVA Region One. “Dealers also need to reduce their inventory heading into summer, so prices for new and used RVs are lower as well.”
The industry has continued to experience strong sales growth in 2017, in part boosted by a strong economy and available financing for dealer inventory and qualified buyers. Wegge noted that another another aspect driving sales is overall affordability.
“Statistics continue to show that vacationing in an RV is less expensive than other vacation travel options, even when a purchase is factored in,” he said. “Coupled with the recent decline in fuel costs, an RV vacation is a bargain.”
