Fun Town RV started its now-iconic brand of dealerships in Texas, but after 15 years the company has a much larger footprint.
On Aug. 16, Fun Town celebrated the anniversary of its founding on Aug. 1, 2010, with a full day of celebration at its Cleburn, Texas location.
“We had a big ol’ party out there,” founder Jarrod McGhee told RVBusiness.
A parking lot full of visitors turned out to enjoy music from country bands The Hattons and Baylor Rose as well as country star Randy Rogers while checking out the latest offerings on the lot.
“It was a really good turnout, especially for a hot summer day in August,” COO Chandler McGhee said. “We’re having repeat business from it already. It was a great community event and it was fun for us to do something for the area and for our returning customers. It was fun.”
In addition to the music and exclusive anniversary pricing on RVs, Fun Town had food trucks on hand as well as bounce houses and other games for kids.
Chandler McGhee said this part of the summer has been extremely busy for Fun Town, as it has been putting in a lot of efforts to get a set of new stores ready to open.
He said a store in Surprise, Ariz., is almost ready to open and a store in Indianapolis and one in Florida just opened last week.
A facility in Las Vegas that had previously been a Lazydays location is expected to be open by October and one in Kansas City, Mo., is planned to open by the end of the year.
“Seeing the company grow from a single-wide trailer on Main Street in Cleburne to 36 dealerships across 11 states has been an incredible journey,” he said. “I’m beyond proud of the entire Fun Town RV team, and I can’t wait to see what the next 15 years have in store for us. From Day 1, our mission has been to bring more families into the RV lifestyle by offering unbeatable prices and the best experience possible. This anniversary is not only about celebrating our past – it’s about looking forward to an even brighter future for Fun Town RV and our customers.”
