General RV is holding a grand opening event for its new supercenter in Clarkston, Mich., on May 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will kick off the festivities, followed by brief remarks from General RV President Loren Baidas.

According to a press release, RV manufacturer representatives, other industry members, and local government officials will attend the grand opening. The public is also invited.

The new supercenter is located at 8665 Dixie Highway, off Interstate 75 and will offer more than 300 RVs for sale and 16 service bays. There is also an onsite retail store where customers can shop for RV parts and accessories. In addition to its expanded facilities, the new superstore features a distinctive design with Prairie-style architecture, extensive landscaping and a split rail fence. Traditional street light fixtures were incorporated to help the new building meet Dixie Highway design guidelines.

Construction of the new store, which replaced General RV’s White Lake store, was completed in January. “We had simply outgrown our previous location,” said Bill Brown, operations manager. “We had reached maximum capacity and needed to upgrade.”

Sales Manager Dominic Sinatra, added, “This new store allows us to better serve our customers. Customer reactions have already been overwhelmingly positive. “This building is beautiful, but it’s also much more convenient for our customers. The parking and capacity were a challenge at the old store. Now, it’s much easier for them to get in and out with their RVs.”
