General Manager Ron McGowen reported sales are due to improving economic conditions and the rise in consumer spending, among other reasons. “The annual Eugene Oregon RV Show kicked off March for us. We were able to offer very attractive financing and terms, which made a new RV affordable for those who might not otherwise buy one,” he said.
McGowen also attributed decreasing fuel prices at the pump and great spring weather to the strong sales. “Everyone is gearing up for summer, and an RV is an appealing option for vacationing this year.” Travel trailers were the strongest sales items in March, followed by truck campers.
A new television campaign with George and Martha Sutton has been very well received in the Eugene area, and has contributed to consumer awareness and an increase in overall business. According to McGowen, the Suttons have a great connection in Eugene.
“Customers have commented on how they enjoy doing business in such a warm family atmosphere that exudes integrity, honesty, and making sure the customer is taken care before, during and most importantly, after the sale,” he said.
George M Sutton RV is anticipating another strong sales month in April and beyond as the summer recreation season approaches.
