Multi-location Southern California dealership Giant RV has out-grown its Upland, Calif., location, so it will open a new facility in nearby Montclair, Calif., early next year, according to the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
Giant can inventory 90 RVs on its three-acre site in Upland, which it has operated since 1985. But Giant will be able to inventory around 300 units on its 10-acre lot in Montclair, which will open in January or early February, said Dick Torres, general manager of the Upland location.
“We’ve just grown out of this space,” Torres told the Daily Bulletin. “We’re no longer able to take care of our customers the way we need to in terms of maintenance and upgrades.”
Last year, Giant sold 375 RVs from its Upland location and generated around $15 million in sales revenue.
As is the case with Upland, Montclair is located between Los Angeles and Riverside, Calif. The new facility in Montclair “will be like a mega-store, with a parts showroom and 10 service bays, and everything will be state-of-the-art,” Torres said.
Giant’s other locations are in Corona, Colton, Irvine and Indio, Calif. The Indio location is in the desert and it is closed during the hottest months. This year, the Indio location will re-open on Nov. 1, Torres said.
