Raul Gimenez has left his position as president of National RV Holdings Inc. and has left the Perris, Calif.-based company, a National RV spokesman confirmed.

Gimenez was president of National RV from July 1999 until his recent departure. He was the company’s vice president of operations from June 1998 until he was promoted to the presidency.

Prior to becoming vice president of operations, Gimenez was director of engineering at National RV and he was a Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. employee for four years before joining National RV.

Wayne Mertes is serving as interim president while the National RV Board searches for a replacement, according to Brad Albrechtsen, CFO.

Mertes also is one of the three members of the recently created Office of the Chief Executive, which was formed “to allocate more management resources to what is proving to be a difficult time for the company and the industry,” Albrechtsen said.

The other members of the Office of the Chief Executive are National RV Chairman Gary Siegler and Vice Chairman Bob Lee.
The management changes occurred shortly after the end of a quarter when National RV lost money. The company warned Wall Street a few weeks ago that it anticipates reporting a loss of 12 cents to 16 cents a share during the first quarter.

National RV will report its first quarter results on April 19.
