Traffic on the first day of the Glamping Show Americas remained busy on Tuesday (Sept. 30) as show organizers and vendors both reported positive energy and great connections.

Jessica Kirchner, Emerald X’s vice president of consumer events and the show’s director, told Woodall’s Campground Magazine (WCM), a sister publication to RVBusiness, that the show is experiencing a great turnout.

“Everyone is happy and attendees are engaged,” she noted. “We are seeing attendees coming out of sessions wide-eyed because of all the information they are ingesting. They are leaving inspired.

“We expect another busy day on Wednesday,” Kirchner added. “On the expo side, we are hearing from a lot of vendors that they have had a lot of conversations with qualified buyers.”

Joanna Reinann, marketing director at FlatSpot, told WCM that its booth was packed all day on Tuesday.

“It has been non-stop,” she explained. “People are curious and we feel that this is the right place to be. This is the best show we attend.”

David Cohen, senior business and technical consultant at Campground Consulting Group, noted that they have also been “crazy busy.”

“This show is such a strong one, and we have had great conversations with interested developers of all sizes,” he said. “People are more concerned about costs when it comes to developing, but the overall temperature is pretty positive.”

Sessions on Wednesday, Oct. 1 include:

  • Top 10 Guest Magnets: The Must-Have Amenities That Drive Bookings and Revenue — Anne Howard, HoneyTrek; Kathleen Walsh, Outdoor Hospitality Group; Dan Invergo, Northgate Holdings. Moderated by Whitney Scott, of Walden Insights.
  • Founder Story: The Couple Who Blended Sustainability and Technology — Hillary, founder of the Folly Collection, and Ari, who sold his tech company to Microsoft, are now redefining what’s possible in the outdoor hospitality space, through vision, innovation and purpose.
  • Marketing Masterclass: How You Can Attract More Guests and Drive Direct Bookings, and What It Will Cost in Time and Money — Ben Wolff, founder of OASI and co-founder of Onera; Angelyn Bernardino, co-founder of No Vacancy Club; and Halley Fleming, of Ozark Mountain Adventure. Moderated by Sarah Riley, an expert in helping glamping businesses scale through digital tools, social media and AI.
