The Great North American RV Rally, slated to run July 11-14 at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, Ore., is sold out according to event organizers.
More than 5,500 rigs representing RVers from every state and Eastern Canada are registered for the event, bringing in an expected 12,000 people to the 132-acre facility in Redmond.
Organizers said the goal of the rally is to educate RV owners about the lifestyle, offering the latest information and showcasing new products, packaged in an entertaining atmosphere.
“RV rallies have been around for 30 years, but not all of them are open to people who own any type of RV,” said Bev Dalton, rally director. “Some are for motorhomes, others are for a particular model or manufacturer. Ours is for everyone. It’s entertaining and educational, and we have something for everyone.”
Each day of the rally will feature a full slate of educational seminars covering topics such as healthy cooking, chassis systems, RV troubleshooting techniques and RVing to Alaska. The seminars will be conducted by some of the foremost experts in the RV industry.
Hundreds of exhibit booths, displaying the latest RV products, will be set up in the air-conditioned exhibit halls. Outside displays will offer participants a look at new 2006 models along with the option to test drive vehicles.
In addition there will be evening entertainment, including headliners Ronnie Milsap, Debbie Reynolds, Pam Tillis and Triple Gold.
The Good Sam Club, Camping World President’s Club, Coast to Coast Resorts, Woodall’s and MotorHome and Trailer Life magazines host the rally. All companies are business units of Affinity Group Inc., parent to RVBUSINESS.com and RV Business magazine.
