The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) has revamped its Go Camping America website, www.GoCampingAmerica.com, which features numerous resources for RVers and campers.
The website includes more in-depth information on RV parks and campgrounds plus a detailed search capability so that RVers and campers can more easily find the parks with the amenities they want such as swimming pools, 50-amp service, dump stations and Wi-Fi.
The new site also contains in-depth travel and tourism information on all 50 states; the ability to make real-time, on-line reservations through ReservationFriend.com, an area to submit information and a forum to buy and/or sell RVs.
Revamped sections include:
• “Find a Park” database of more than 3,900 RV parks and campgrounds across the U.S. Visitors can search by state and region, and can now also search by amenities, activities, atmosphere and memberships using the expanded search option. In addition, travelers can book their stay directly from the site.
• “Plan Your Trip” provides resources on trip planning, what to pack, safety, RV maintenance, driving tips, weather, gas prices, road conditions, pets, on-the-road activities for kids, and traveler’s tips.
• “State Info,” offers listings of each state’s tourist attractions, events, outdoor recreation recommendations and road rules.
• “Types of Lodging” provides details regarding the types of rentals available, such as cabins, trailers and park models, and a state-by-state database of parks with rentals available.
• “Outdoor Tips” address activities, cooking, campfires, packing and recipes.
• “Kid’s Pages” consist of state facts, games, coloring pages, kids’ recipes and safety tips.
• “RV Sales” allows visitors to search a database for RVs for sale, or to sell their own RV.
• “GCA Shop” provides RVers and campers the chance to buy Go Camping America gear.
• “Links” to a variety of RV and camping-related websites.
