The number of sales leads generated by this year’s new Go RVing national advertising campaign was up 55% through the middle of August, according to Chris Morrison, senior director of marketing communications for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).
From early February through mid-August, the Go RVing campaign generated 101,000 leads, Morrison said on Friday (Sept. 5), during the Florida RV Trade Association’s Annual Meeting in Stuart, Fla.
That means the number of leads generated so far this year already exceeds the previous record of 94,700 leads produced by the entire 2001 campaign, she said. Last year’s campaign netted 84,000 leads.
This is the first year of Go RVing’s Phase three, which features creative work by The Richards Group ad agency of Dallas. “Pursue Your Passions” is the theme for Richards’ new ad campaign.
Go RVing leads are available to dealers who pay a $250 annual fee.
