The network TV launch of the 2004 Go RVing “Pursue Your Passions” advertising campaign begins tonight (Feb. 10).
Local “tie-ins” to the five-week TV campaign are encouraged by the Go RVing Coalition, the ad hoc association comprising representatives of the RV manufacturing, deal Does Text My Ex Back Work er and campground communities.
The first Go RVing ad will be shown during ABC’s 8 Simple Rules which begins at 8 p.m. EDT.
A total of 17 Go RVing spots will appear on 12 ABC programs through March 14.
The coalition will spend $1.5 million for the 17 spots and another $5.9 million for its commercials to appear on cable TV, including 40 weeks of NASCAR advertising on FOX Sports Net, FX and the Speed Channel beginning in the middle of February month.
The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) has encourage RV dealers, campground operators, show promoters and their ad agencies to capitalize on the national TV campaign through the local tie-in program.
Registered participants are able to purchase, through the tie-in program, the four 30-second TV ads with space for a five-second tag for $250. By customizing the national ads and purchasing local spots, dealers can take advantage of consumer awareness of the national campaign.
The spots can be used on all cable TV networks without incurring additional talent fees required to run them on local broadcast affiliates.
