A feature about a family’s first-ever trip in an RV to avoid worries associated with air travel will begin Monday (Nov. 19) on ABC’s Good Morning America, according to Gary LaBella, spokesman for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).

The feature will be shown Monday through Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 22), LaBella said.

The feature on Good Morning America was the result of the “RVIA’s proactive public relations initiatives,” according to LaBella.

The subject of the feature will be a 750 mile trip from Florida to Illinois by Henry and Gail Davidson and their daughters ages 12 and 22. Good Morning America will chronicle their trip each day as they make their way to Thanksgiving dinner with relatives, including a 90-year-old aunt.

Good Morning America is broadcast in most markets from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. For RV industry insiders who did not have an opportunity to watch the segments, they will be highlighted during the Outlook 2002 breakfast on Nov. 27 at the RVIA-sponsored National RV Trade Show in Louisville. The breakfast will be from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Nov. 27 and admission is free to all registrants with badges.
