The Good Sam Club, the world’s largest RV owner’s organization, has created the Welcome Mat Award to recognize businesses that are not in the RV industry but “certainly know how to accommodate and offer good service to RVers,” according to Sue Bray, the Good Sam president.
To select the Welcome Mat Award winners, Good Sam members, which total over 1 million, were asked during January and February to name businesses that go out of their way to recognize the needs of RVers.
Good Sam is a unit of Affinity Group Inc. (AGI), as is TL Enterprises Inc., publisher of RV Business and RVBUSINESS.COM.
The Welcome Mat winners will receive their awards during AGI’s Great North American RV Rally which begins in Pomona, Calif., on Friday (June 28).
