Plans continue to move forward for a proposed outdoor recreational vehicle sales and display center on Goshen, Ind.’s west side.

During a meeting of the Goshen Plan Commission Tuesday (Oct. 21) afternoon, commission members granted approval of a request by Vinhan Enterprises III LLC and Jones Petrie Rafinski for a two-lot minor commercial subdivision with the goal of replatting lots 1A and 2A of the existing Growing Kids Learning Center subdivision, renaming the subdivision, relocating two easements within the subdivision and adding a third.

Tuesday’s approval is related to a previous approval granted by the Goshen Board of Zoning Appeals back in late August. The BZA approved a request by property owner Dzung Nguyen and JPR for developmental variances to allow an outside RV sales and display center on a lot without a permanent building for a period of three years, and to allow 15 parking spaces where 23 spaces are required.

That request referred specifically to the lot at 3208 Elkhart Road, known as Lot 1A, an undeveloped parcel located northeast and adjacent to the Growing Kids Learning Center, 3212 Elkhart Road, and southeast and adjacent to Goshen Motors Buick GMC, 3220 Elkhart Road — both of which are owned by Nguyen.
