GS Media & Events hosted its first-ever Great American RV Show at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers Nov. 5-9, designed to create an additional buying and selling season for dealers and customers during a time when traffic is historically slower.

According to a press release, three of the area’s major RV dealers participated in the show, including National Indoor RV Centers, Camping World RV Sales and Maxi Price RV, showcasing a wide variety of motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth-wheels. Daily seminars were also held, and included teaching the basics of RVing, RV safety tips and matching your towable with your vehicle.

“We documented a very successful show in Conyers this year by selling a large percentage of the 110 RV’s that we had on display,” said Wes Newsome, general manager of Camping World RV Sales. “The event was the highlight of the year for our supercenters in Oakwood and Woodstock as we transition into the holiday season.”

“This event gave us great exposure to thousands of customers with a majority being people we wouldn’t have otherwise interacted with,” said Luis Grove, sales manager at National Indoor RV Center. “We put together several deals and are expecting good residual business to result helping us finish out the year strong.”

“We had a good show and were very impressed with the quality of customer at this event,” said Maxie Price, owner of Maxie Price RV. “We are looking forward to working with GS Media and Events in the future.”

On the heels of this successful inaugural Great American RV Show, GS Media & Events has announced a return to Georgia from March 6-8, 2015, at the Georgia World of Congress Convention Center for the Greater Atlanta RV Show, and has already received positive inquiries from RV dealers and vendors looking to participate.
