Incorporating swiveling driver and passenger chairs that double as dinette seating, Canadian manufacturer Great West Van Conversions Inc., St. Andrews, Manitoba, has created a two-zone living effect in its new Sprinter Legend van camper. “With two-zone living your bed can stay made in the back because it’s not part of the dinette,” said General Manager Wade Wilken. “That’s a big issue for a lot of people.” Available in five floorplans, including king-, queen- or twin-bed configurations, the 22-foot Sprinter Legend is built on the 10,040-pound GVWR Dodge Sprinter chassis exported from Europe by Mercedes-Benz. Great West’s first Class B motorhome based on the Sprinter, the Legend is powered by a Mercedes-Benz 2.7 liter, 5-cylinder, 154-hp turbocharged CDI diesel engine that gets up to 26 mpg. Retailing from $70,000, the Legend features a tri-fold sofa/bed mounted on a track system that moves the sofa from front to back to increase rear storage. A special 30th Anniversary Edition offers a special paint scheme with anniversary decals, and embroidered headrest and sofa armrest covers.
