Gulf Stream Coach Inc., Nappanee, Ind., for 2006 has added a 23-foot diesel-powered minimotorhome built on an imported 10,200-pound GVWR Dodge Sprinter cutaway chassis – the second Class C on a Sprinter platform available in the U.S. market. Gulf Stream’s new Vista Cruiser Mini offers one floorplan with a cab-over sleeping area. Dodge estimates the Vista Cruiser Mini will get 16-18 gallons per mile. “With fuel prices going the way they are, people are becoming a little more aware of the diesel Class C category,” said Claude Donati, vice president of sales and marketing for Gulf Stream’s motorhome division.” A second floorplan with a rear bedroom is expected to be shown at the 43rd Annual National RV Trade Show Nov. 29-Dec. 1 at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville. With an unusual European-style look featuring pre-molded fiberglass trim along the roof line and matching skirt-level paint, the Vista Cruiser Mini is equipped with an entryway door behind the cab, dual-pane imported windows and hardwood interiors. It’s powered by a Mercedes Benz, 5-cylinder 154-hp turbo diesel engine. Retail prices start at $84,500.
