In an innovative design twist, Gulf Stream Coach Inc., Nappanee, Ind., employed two 17-foot offset superslides, a wooden partition and hidden pocket doors to create what the company calls a “three-zone” living system in its 2006 Sun Voyager Class A motorhome series. The coach, which debuted at the 43rd Annual National RV Trade Show is Louisville, Ky., is built on a 24,000-pound GVWR gas-fueled Workhorse chassis with an available 26,000-pound GVWR front engine diesel chassis recently introduced by Freightliner Custom Coach Corp., Gaffney, S.C. The 38-foot mid-entry Sun Voyager three-zone floorplan features a forward living area with opposing sofas, a separate mid-coach dining area and a walk-through bathroom that can be closed off either from the living room or the bedroom, which is outfitted with a king-size bed in the street-side superslide. The floorplan, base retailing for $145,000, is one of eight available in the aluminum-and-laminated-fiberglass Sun Voyager series.
