Nappanee, Ind.-based Gulf Stream Coach will be relocating operations for its lightweight towable division to a dedicated 100,000-square-foot plant in nearby Etna Green, under the supervision of industry veteran Tim Dennig.
According to the full-line manufacturer, the move represents a commitment to “revitalize the line.” Gulf Stream’s lightweight models includes the 7 1/2-foot-wide Stream-Lite, the Gulf Breeze and Emerald Breeze.
“We are putting quality and usability first in the revitalization of the line,” said Dennig, lightweight towables division manager. “We’re going to put in interiors and exteriors that haven’t been done in the past.”
Some of the new features include bigger storage compartments and skylights in the bathroom, along with European-style decor offering rounded edges on woodwork and innovative lighting.
Dennig said the changeover also will involve an emphasis on quality control with improved production techniques and a second “white glove” final finish.
“Our units are placed into a ‘hurricane booth’ and water tested to detect any seal problems that could occur,” Dennig said.
