Despite persistent rain during the 2006 Pennsylvania Recreational Vehicle and Camping Show at Hersheypark, in Hershey, Pa., Nappanee, Ind.-based builder Gulf Stream Coach Inc. reported strong sales at the Sept. 11-17 event.
“This year was stronger for us than 2005,” Claude Donati, vice president of sales and marketing for Gulf Stream, said in a press release. “Our retail sales are over 35% higher than last year’s show numbers and the customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.”
Donati said the company’s three-zone living floorplans in its Sun Voyager Class A and Endura Class C lines, the Freightliner front-engine diesel (FRED) chassis option and a Vista Cruiser minimotorhome concept were all well received during the show.
“Good show, real good show” said Frank Roberts, owner of Long View RV Superstores, a multi-location dealer with stores in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida and New York. “Gulf Stream’s product fits us and fits the customer’s desires and needs.”
