Gulf Stream logoNappanee, Ind.-based Gulf Stream Coach Inc. reported a 30% sales increase during the first quarter for its entry-level Ameri-Lite travel trailer line. According to a press release, the growth is the result of a series of refinements and enhancements to the product line, sales support, and the production process that have earned the coveted RVDA Quality Circle Award for the brand.

Gulf Stream tested the market for the value-priced AmeriLite last year with an 8-foot wide floorplan. That led to the release of four additional 8-foot wide models for 2016, extending the range of available lengths from 14 feet to over 27 feet.

“The 30%-plus growth in year-to-date sales that our dealers are enjoying reflects the significant increase in the number of buyers who are joining the RV lifestyle for the first time this year,” said Randy Baskerville, national sales manager for Ameri-Lite and a number of other Gulf Stream brands. “Dealers count on Ameri-Lite to give first-timers a great RV experience. That positive experience puts customers on track to replace and upgrade their travel trailers as their family grows and as they gain more experience.”
