The Middlebury couple was at the first day of the 3rd Annual Spring Hall of Fame RV Show, taking advantage of the 10 different dealers gathered in one location for the four-day event that ends Sunday.
The Scotts are just an example of what is making RV dealers more excited than previous years, said show director Matt Rose of the Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council. People are seriously looking to buy motor homes again. “Dealers are giddy,” he said. “They know it will be a good show. People are coming to this show to buy units.”
He is expecting attendance at the show to reach 2,500, surpassing last year’s 1,900.
The biggest indicator that consumers are ready to buy has been the excitement Rose has seen in the weeks leading up to the show, he said.
The selling season has barely started, but already dealers say they are noticing the growth. Matthew Troup with Total Value RV said sales are almost double what they were this time last year.
