Elkhart, Ind.-based Heartland Recreational Vehicles LLC continued to build its presence as a forerunner in the evolving toy hauler sector with the recent introduction of the Lithium travel trailer.

According to a press release, Heartland engineered the Lithium line to accommodate today’s most popular off-grid toys, including the widely popular side-by-side ATVs that can run as wide as 72 inches and nearly 14 feet long.

”The spacious garage area offers 102-inch wide-body construction, a 90-inch-tall ramp door and a 24-inch dove tail,” stated Director of Sales AJ Jones. “Our research has shown that the ability to haul side-by-sides, and multiple ATVs, is the key selling point among consumers. That certainly was a focus for our design team along with creating a feature-rich interior.”

Heartland’s Lithium also targets “a key segment in the toy hauler category,” Jones noted, hitting a price point in the sub-$30,000 MSRP range.

“Lithium essentially came about in response to dealer requests for a toy hauler that hit a more aggressive price point,” Jones said. “We have done extremely well with our laminated toy hauler travel trailers. However, our laminated toy hauler travel trailers retail at a much higher price point reaching less than 25% of the market. With Lithium being such a lower price will allow us to compete in the meat of the market. Lithium will provide our dealers with a much more diverse offering by satisfying that need for a lower price point.”

Jones reported that Heartland will be launching four all-new floorplans in the Lithium lineup with two models slated to be on display at the upcoming Elkhart RV Open House in September.

Product Manager Dustin Swindeman related, “Lithium will provide our customers with the features our customers have learned to expect from a Heartland toy hauler. It also adds a key line to our toy hauler portfolio.”
