Coachmen RV Co. LLC, Middlebury, Ind., has incorporated Ford’s new industry leading 362-hp gasoline engine on a revised 22,000-pound GVWR F-53 chassis in its recently released Epic A-body motorhome. Available in 32- and 34-foot double slideouts floorplans with a ceiling height of 85”, Epic lays claim to being among those motorhomes having the most headroom. “A lot of diesel pusher are going with taller ceilings,” said product manager Jon Gallagher. “Now we are going with taller ceilings in a gas coach.” Featuring soft vinyl ceilings, hardwood raised panel doors, solid wood drawer fronts, Epic’s retail base is $105,000. The coach sports flared bus-style baggage doors, pass-through trunk boxes, deluxe lighting and mirrored bedroom vanities, which open at the back to become previously hidden windows.
