Hellwig Products announced the launch of a tow/haul air suspension kit for the new Ford F-150. In additoj the Visalia, Calif.-based supplier made some key personnel moves with the hiring of Mike Hallmark as the new West Coast sales manager and the promotion of Ben Knaus to director of engineering.
According to a press release, the Hellwig air suspension kit for the 2015 Ford F-150 is the perfect option for the heavy hauler who also drives the vehicle unloaded. It is also designed to fit on the previous generation F-150 (2009-2014). The kit uses large 2600-pound air bags, requiring less pressure to level a load while also producing a smoother loaded ride. When not towing or hauling, the air can be removed from the bags for a factory ride again.
The kit includes mounting components, including the axle and frame brackets, fittings and air hose, and hardware. The new air suspension kit comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Prior to joining Hellwig, Hallmark worked in the automotive industry for over 15 years, working for companies such as T-Rex Grilles and Advanced Clutch Technology before coming to Hellwig. He is based out of Lancaster, Calif., and handles the western half of the United States and Canada.
Knaus has been an engineer with Hellwig Products for over four years and was recently promoted to director of engineering. Before this he worked as a R&D engineer, developing new product and while also having a brief stint as marketing engineer.
