RV dealership company Holiday Holdings LLC has signed a definitive letter of intent to acquire the RVSales.com website, which directs prospective RV retail buyers to dealerships stocking the types of products they are interested in buying, according to Marcus Lemonis, Holiday Holdings’ president.
Holiday Holdings bought RVSales.com from a group led by Bruce Caico, who will remain as president of RVSales.com, which will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Holiday Holdings, Lemonis said.
In addition to Holiday Holdings’ dealerships, RVSales.com will offer licensing arrangements to dealers in over 140 markets not served by Holiday Holdings’ locations, Lemonis said. The website will direct potential buyers to the dealerships participating in the program, he said.
RVSales.com will not function as a buying group, but as a lead sharing service, Lemonis added.
Additionally, RVSales.com will continue to function as a classified advertising service for consumers looking to sell their used RV to a dealer or to another consumer.
The website will be financially supported by advertising from RV-related businesses and by vendors, such as extended warranty service providers and retail lenders, who will offer special programs through the site.
RVSales.com also will provide links to participating RV dealers’ websites, to the Camping World accessories store site, to participating campground operators’ sites and the websites of RV owners clubs.
The planned modifications to RVSales.com will appear during the first half of January, Lemonis said.
