The Holiday Holdings Co. dealership alliance intends to buy Shipp’s RV Center Inc., a dealership in Chattanooga, Tenn., according to Holiday Holdings President Marcus Lemonis.
Randy Shipp, president of the dealership that bears his name, will continue to run the business, which is more than 30 years old and includes a 75-acre campground on Chattanooga’s south side.
The Shipp’s name will remain on the Chattanooga dealership and Holiday Holdings plans to use it as a brand name when advertising in major media markets throughout Tennessee, Lemonis said.
There also are plans for a second Shipp’s location in the Nashville metro area, he said.
More Fleetwood Enterprises models will be added to Shipp’s inventory lineup, which currently includes Holiday Rambler, Fleetwood Folding Trailers, Damon, Keystone and R-Vision models.
Holiday Holdings Regional President John Mancinelli negotiated the deal to bring Shipp’s RV into the dealership alliance.
Lemonis also revealed that a Camping World aftermarket accessories store will open within 30 days at Hart RV Supercenter in Elkhart, Ind., which Holiday Holdings recently acquired.
Holiday Holdings was founded by Affinity Group Inc. (AGI) Chairman Steve Adams. TL Enterprises Inc., publisher of RV Business and RVBUSINESS.com, is a unit of AGI, as is Camping World.
