Horizon Transport, a Wakarusa, Ind.-based RV transporter, announced the promotion of Joe Braun to president.
According to a press release, Braun has been with Horizon for 14 years, most recently as its vice president. Former President Marion Schrock remains 100% owner and will continue as chairman of Horizon Transport.
“Joe has been in charge of the day-to-day operations since 2011 so the transition to president represents a natural progression,” said Marion Shrock. “Joe commands incredible business acumen and has a proven track record of upholding the standards that my father founded the company on: integrity, dedication and excellence. Going forward, my focus will be migrated into capital projects, centered on providing local OEM’s with adequate storage through land acquisitions and development and spending a lot more time with my seven kids.”
Braun noted, “Horizon Transport is a family-owned and operated company with a miraculous growth history. As its lead employee, I look forward to building on the legacy that’s been established by the Schrock family. My team will continue to thrive by providing exceptional support for our drivers and service for our customers. It’s an honor to take on this role.”
The company, founded by Marion and Ruth Ann Shrock in 1984, currently works with 1,600 independent contract drivers and operates additional depots in Idaho and Oregon.
