The Indiana Manufactured Housing-Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council (IMHA-RVIC) is selling RV campground rally packages to its members for the weekend of the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in August.
This year’s Brickyard 400 is scheduled for Aug. 8. The packages are good for stays at the IMHA-RVIC rally area beginning Aug. 6, the first day of practice for the race, and on Aug. 7, practice and qualification day, and for race day itself, Aug. 8.
The packages are available to IMHA-RVIC members only, but members can offer their packages to employees, customers, friends or family.
The package includes general admission to the track on Aug. 6 and 7 and seats for the race on Aug. 8 in the North Vista, which is outside of the track between turns three and four.
The IMHA-RVIC rally area is along Georgetown Road between 25th and 30th streets. Sewer pump-outs are available for $25 and water for 25 cents a gallon. There is no electrical service available but generators can be used at any time.
Rally area spaces will be filled on a first -come, first-serve basis, so groups of friends in separate RVs should arrive at the same time.
Twenty-four-hour security will be provided. Package holders can begin arriving at the rally area as soon as between 5 and 10 p.m. on Aug. 5 or from 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Aug. 6.
All RVs must be out of the rally area by 10 a.m. on Aug. 9.
