Indiana’s LaGrange County Economic Development Corp. (EDC) board announced the appointment of Ryne Krock as its new president /CEO. According to a news release, Krock will assume his new role on April 13.

Krock is a native of LaGrange County and graduate of Lakeland High School. He has worked for the past four years with the City of Toledo where he served in key roles in the mayor’s office and the Department of Economic and Business Development. In these roles, he managed business retention, expansion and attraction projects and multiple economic development incentive programs. Krock will receive his bachelor’s in political science from the University of Toledo this year.

“As the LaGrange County Economic Development Corp. opens this new chapter, the board and I are confident that Ryne is the right person to lead our organization forward,” said Chairman Mark Leu. “He has a proven ability to communicate and achieve results working with diverse constituencies, and has a passion and vision for our continued prosperity. We believe his leadership is a perfect fit for our continuing mission of improving the business climate and quality of life in LaGrange County.”

“I am honored to take this role, and excited about the possibilities that lie in our future,” said Krock. “The LaGrange County EDC has had great success in strengthening our local economy and helping business grow and thrive in our County. I look forward to continuing this course and developing new programs that will help LaGrange County flourish for years to come.”

LaGrange, which abuts Elkhart County, is home to several business involved in the RV industry.
